Wow, the New year is almost here. Yay 🙂 2020 was a crazy year and I’m sure all of you have an adjective to describe it….
At AceNgage we had a few ups and more downs. Candidate engagement however took center stage. It was a see-saw year for many candidates. Campus recruitments were put on hold and with layoffs, recruitment took a back seat. As the months passed we saw an uptick but then interestingly enough hiring companies started seeing more declines.
We found that candidates didn’t want to experiment at a new company and were happy to be retained by the existing Organisation. Some Organizations started getting more creative and many new initiatives were taken to entice ( for the lack of a better word) candidates into joining.
We created an infographic about Candidate behavior during Covid. This is based on the feedback we gathered from speaking with over 4700 + candidates during the last 8 months. Hope you find it interesting…..
A few things to remember:
- Candidates should be aware of the wonderful things you do and provide to employees. It’s not just about the salary Candidates are brand ambassadors. Take care of them.
- If you don’t ask you won’t know. Seek feedback. Conduct candidate experience surveys
- Leadership team involvement is important. “To care for” should be the culture
- Social media presence should be felt. Glassdoor rating is important
